Project Engineer
What are my responsibilities?
 
You shall work closely with the Engineering and Project teams to deliver the assigned duties and responsibilities as per project scope to the satisfaction of the customer.
Prepare technical documents, review supplier offers, make technical bid evaluation and support bid and tender process when required.
Prepare and review Engineering / Design Documents for DC Switchgear equipment (750V/1500V), other Auxiliary equipment and Operation & Maintenance Manuals, supplier’s document review, work with various partners (Clients, Suppliers, interface equipment vendors etc) to resolve & clarify issues.
Ensure project quality by using appropriate internal processes.
You will Assist Project teams on the Project(s) Requirements and Configuration management.
You will handle and maintain the design change request & tracking the status.
You will handle and maintain the project DAR master list of the submission revision and status.
Co-ordination and work together with various departments in project.
Reporting of the outstanding issues and dedicatedly monitor the changes and recommendations to project team.
What do i need to do to qualify for this job?

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Electrification projects in engineering, project execution and Requirement, change management.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
You have knowledge of electrical power system with applicable codes & standards (Application in Railways is advantageous), Knowledge of Siemens equipment in DC Switchgear, VLD, PLC/ SCADA systems.
Strong and effective communication at all levels within the Business Good written and interpersonal skills.
You are dedicated & flexible, and able to work under deadlines and positively handling the tasks.
You possess excellent social, communication and analytical skills
You should be able to work in multi regional, multi-cultural project group environment

Job Summary
 
Field Works
Assists and conducts site inspections as directed by Resident Engineer.
Monitors and records on daily basis the M&E works progress.
Initials/ checks that the M&E progress reported by the Contractor is accurate.
Checks and reports on the progress of rectification works/ M&E items in the defects list.
Monitors and reports on the contractor’s enforcement of safety practices.

Role & Responsibilities
As the Power Superintending Officer you will be responsible to provide superintendence for assigned contract packages required for the Singapore F1 Grand Prix project. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

General
• Studying, understanding and managing each assigned contract package
• Ability evaluate shop drawings and value engineer contractor’s proposal.
• Reviewing work method statements with HSE staff and ensuring that these methods meet all safety regulations.
• Managing weekly coordination meetings with contractor to review status, work schedules and issuing the minutes of meeting.
• Monitoring daily, the work activities of the contractor.
• Making sure that daily tool box meetings are held, published work methods and schedules are followed, safe work practices are rigorously enforced and contractors provide proper supervision.
• Reviewing and recommending contractors’ staffs for accreditation purposes to support the standby requirements of the contractor.
• Issuing site instructions as required during the event.
• Preparing and reviewing variation orders as required.
• Ensuring that dismantling, demobilization and close out activities are completed as schedule including the reconciliation of the all invoices, the receipt of as built drawings and inventory lists, arranging a final contractor debrief meeting, the completion of contractor performance evaluations, the issuing of substantial completion certificates.

Administration
• Attending and supporting all project meetings as required
• Learning and following the Faithful+Gould BMS (Building Management Systems) processes and procedures
• Performing miscellaneous ad hoc duties as required by the Power & Comms Manager

Specific Role
Working with contractors in power distribution for the event and ensure that the entire electrical distribution network is well coordinated with the location of the generators.
Perform checking and verify load calculation given by electrical contractor
Co-ordinate with the diesel refuelling contractor for refuelling plan and implementation during the event.
Co-ordinate with the event promoter (SGP) for the proposed location of the public lighting and provision of the electrical power source.
Monitoring work schedule to ensure prompt delivery of the systems in particular the testing & commissioning before the race week.

Your duties will involve working and coordinating work activities with other supervisors and Singapore GP staff.

You will be privy to confidential information by necessity. You will treat all such information with the highest levels of confidentiality and will perform your role with integrity and honour at all times.

You are required to ensure that all documents and administrative functions demonstrate high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
