Design, realization and test of mechanical components and assemblies; understands and communicates consequences of the design on the architecture.

Develops on the basis of design specifications in accordance with the functional specifications and tests, analyses and verifies their performance.
Finalizes the design specifications, drawings and writes test scenarios’ for the developed components or assemblies.
Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way and is responsible for keeping the costs of the activities in line with the calculated budget.
Is responsible for delivering input in the planning process to the design lead.
Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed hardware/mechanics.

A team involved in the whole product development cycles, from new concept generation, concept evaluation and feasibility study, detailed design, prototyping and testing until industrialization and mass production.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering is required. Master’s Degree will be preferred
5 to 10 years of working experience in development of consumer electronics products or domestic appliances for mass production will be preferred
In-depth knowledge and strong competence in design analysis and validation based on theoretical calculation for example stress and deformation calculation
Hands on experience in designing parts for injection molding and metal forming
Analytical & conceptual thinking with good communication skills
Familiar with Unigraphics or other CAD software
Overseas travel will be required (30%)

Job Description
 
Execute maintenance of static and rotating equipment in the production unit and adhering to ME processes.
Perform equipment troubleshooting and provide feedback to custodian.
The main tasks are to work jointly in close cooperation with Area 1 operation and assurance discipline ensuring the delivery of all major maintenance and shutdown activities to ensure the integrity, reliability and availability the plant units and related facilities to support the PU1 Production Units.
To plan, execute and deliver major maintenance program as per the plan, including all the infrastructure, Tanks, Planned Shut down and related works.
Maximize the productivity of the contractor.
Responsible for supporting budgeting activities for all major maintenance activities including long term maintenance strategy.

Implement LEAN initiatives.
Execute unit shutdowns and TAs as assigned.
Plan and execute PCRs and CRERs as assigned.
Ensure safety and quality of maintenance execution.
Use GSAP as a tool to manage maintenance execution.
 
Accountabilities:
 
Provide day-to-day specialist mechanical engineering support to the Production Unit.
Ensure work safety for staff & contractors in compliance with HSSE standards and ensure participate in safety audits, safety walkabouts and other safety initiatives.
Prepare/review Job Hazard Analysis, Method Statements, lifting plans and ensure that the work is executed in accordance to these and Permit To Work and Clearance requirements.
Ensure compliance of mechanical engineering practices and assets with statutory obligations, Engineering Codes of Practices and Shell DEP standards.

Ensure maintenance execution is done in line with LEAN principals.
Ensure contractors work safely and maximizes their productivity.
Ensure GSAP is used to manage maintenance execution.
Ensure GAME maintenance execution processes are adhered to.
Ensure PCRs and CRERs are done meeting the safety, budget and quality targets.
Ensure shutdowns are done meeting the safety, budget and quality targets.

Dimensions
Work with a mechanical team of Asst Engineers/Technicians and contractors.
Execute Turnarounds, shutdowns and day to day maintenance.

Requirements

Skills & Requirements
The incumbent should be a degree holder or should have a minimum Diploma in mechanical engineering combined with a minimum of 5-7 years engineering/maintenance field experience in the oil or petrochemical plants.
Good understanding of the various international mechanical engineering standards.
Able to work independently and yet participate as a member of a multidiscipline team.
Skilled in Troubleshooting and executing maintenance work and managing the contractors on site.
Skilled on the Job Hazard Analysis, Confine Space Entry, Permit to Work system and Clearance application requirement.
Knowledge of GSAP and GAME ME processes would be an added advantage.

Additional Information
Ensure safe execution of all maintenance and all major maintenance works.
Participate actively in the Company HSSE activities.
Ensure that the major maintenance and shutdown work is executed safely and delivered by the agreed completion dates and work to meet zero overdue and GAME-ME KPIs.
Troubleshoot on mechanical equipment problems and perform condition monitoring.
Ensure quality work by his/her team and contractors for equipment reliability, plant integrity and OA.
Hands on experience in the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment as per DEP standards/appropriate Industry Code of Practice.
Ensure OEM and Contractors performance conforms to SHELL Bukom requirements.

What are my responsibilities?
