Position Title Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Mechanical), Singapore

Job Summary
Preparation of design report, calculation, drawings, specification, cost estimation and details/ schedules for projects.
Conduct mechanical services site survey.
Assist Professional Engineer in liaison, preparation and follow up of Authority Submission.
Liaison with Client/ Architects/ Structural Engineers/ Electrical Engineer/ QS etc to produce the mechanical building services system design from concept to detail design.
Assist Project Manager in up-keeping the project ISO quality documentation and records

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 3 years hands-on mechanical design experience in building and infrastructure projects

Good project management and technical skills

Familiar with local code and authority submission procedures

Team player and able to work independent with minimal supervision

Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM

Please list down prior design projects involved and update on work pass status (if any).

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Electrical
Our company Faithful and Gould ( is an International Property, Construction & Event Management Consultancy with specialist capability in the Project and Construction management of a varying types of projects, with offices across Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Subcontinent and Australia. Our office locations are complemented by those of our Parent group SNC Lavelin enabling us to draw on an international knowledge base in delivering the next project to our large and extensive client base.

The Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Electrical (QS M&E) will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects with the desired project objectives.

The incumbent must have adequate knowledge and information about the business and the project in order to make informed value decisions for both the Client and the Company.

The roles and responsibilities include:
• Manage and oversee a Mechanical & Electrical QS team
• pre-tender and tender duties
• taking off and measurements
• preparation of BQs, tender documents and tender pricing
• attending tender interviews with the client if necessary.
• Post contract administrative work, e.g. manage variations, valuations
• Project close out

Upon award of the project, post-contract duties might follow, including procurement and pricing, sourcing for subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating the rates and preparing contractual agreements, processing payment claims from subcons and submitting progress claims to the client, handle Variation Orders, assist in dispute settlements, and finalising accounts.
The successful candidate should posses:
Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years of working experience in Building and/or Engineering projects preferably with consultancy background
A breadth knowledge across all aspects of M&E knowledge and excellent technical knowledge in a number of specific areas
With wide range of projects experience in all sizes and dimensions.
Sound computer knowledge
Familiarity with MEP cost estimates/tender preparation and evaluation/interim valuation/final account close out; knowledge of different types of Conditions of Contracts will be an advantage

Looking for Quantity Surveyors at all levels
Experience at both pre-contract / post contract stages
Advantage of having / projects using BIM and comfortable with using BIM in service delivery (estimating / Take offs etc.)
Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience
