Hotel Overview: Strategically located in the heart of Singapore`s shopping- dining and entertainment districts and with the City Hall Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train station and other major transportation nodes at its doorstep- Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford are the gateway to explore Singapore`s landscapes at your convenience. With a total of 2-030 well-appointed guestrooms- both hotels offer a distinct collection of 15 lifestyle and dining choices- cutting-edge meeting space at Raffles City Convention Centre and one of Asia`s largest spas- Willow Stream Spa.
This is a Shared Service position and supports both Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford. The Assistant Sales Manager/ Sales Manager will analyze market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Experience in MICE and Corporate sales is preferred but not essential and looking for an individual eager to make his/her mark on driving revenue to the hotels and newly renovated Raffles City Convention Centre.
Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales- responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
The role will be required to take a proactive approach to sales- anticipating potential opportunities and developing new ones
Develop strategic plans for Corporate and MICE bookers
Responsible for sourcing- developing and account managing the MICE/corporate business from designated market segments within geographical areas
Conduct an appropriate number of proactive sales activities (including telesales- appointments- site inspections- trade shows- fam trips and client entertainment)
Work with the in house Conference & Events team to maximize revenue opportunities through the sale of conference facility space and guest rooms
Review sales and other revenue generating business plans- identify gaps- ensure proactive measures to fill hotel and conference space capacity- and meet set targets

Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays competitive in the local market

A creative individual with a passion for sales and drive to excel within Singapore`s leading hotels- setting- achieving and exceeding financial targets- developing and implementing marketing strategies which promote the hotel event space to key markets- taking bookings- developing key relationships and ensuring events are managed effectively

Build professional and personal rapport with all potential planners throughout the industry

Work with GSO to gain maximum production from key accounts and markets

Attend Sales events- as required


Minimum of 1 year Sales experience required

University/College degree in a related discipline preferred

Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations

Dependable and meticulous

Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative

Positive attitude and good communication skills
