The Marketing Manager – Special Projects holds a critical role in the creation
and conceptualising of all special projects in a holistic and strategic
manner| so as to attain the organisations overall objectives for all areas of
the hotel. Roles and responsibilities include planning of events| creation of
collaterals (traditional and digital) and seeking of enriching partnerships.
Reporting to Director of Marketing Communications| the Marketing Manager –
Special Projects should have a love for special event management| be highly
motivated| analytical| and creative.
Specific duties include| but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the development| planning| preparation| and execution of all special promotions / campaigns / events. Areas to include event management| collaterals support| programming etc.
Conceptualise| research and provides input to enhance marketing of / event aesthetics| activities and programs with the goal of providing guest with an exciting and unique experience that is aligned with the brands objective and vision.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with key partners| suppliers and organisations involved in the execution of various events. To seek sponsorship for special projects| when deemed necessary.
Operates within budget guidelines; effectively manages time and resources to meet multiple project deadlines.
Ensures services are provided in a cost-effective| timely and professional manner.
Participates in other duties as assigned.
Degree from an accredited university in Marketing| Public Relations| Business Administration or related major and preferably with at least 4 years working experience in events management
A confident individual with excellent project management skills
Well versed in relationship management
Strong interpersonal| presentation and communication skills
Excellent command of English| both verbal and written communication
Rigorous| resourceful| sociable| creative and self-motivated
Marketing background| a plus.
