The Data Analyst role plays a pivotal function in two critical capabilities: performance management and business analytics. The role will support CLS core functions of Customer Connectivity, Warehouse & Distributions, Business Development and Network Management – by understanding various business processes, using and simulating data to answer questions and uncover insights, and communicating the results to help make business decisions.

Job Duties:
Data Ownership & Insight Generation:
Develop a strong understanding of the data source and reporting systems and databases, and associated data relationships.
Complete all the required data and system annual compliance requirements as per stipulated guidelines.

Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery for greater scalability.
Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
Create visualizations and dashboards to help the company interpret and make decisions with the data.
Identify business and analytics needs in close partnership with stakeholders, capture data requirements and translate them into language which can be understood by technology and solutions teams (e.g. Data Analytics Lead, CLS IT).
Drive insight generation through self-service analytics, data mining and other data manipulation skills, and the use of descriptive statistics to get a big-picture of data.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required (Analytics, Information Systems and Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred); advanced degree is a plus.
Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
A minimum of 1 years of business experience is preferred; experience in logistics, customer service or supply chain function is highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in data manipulation with Excel, including pivot tables and vLookups, is required.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and present to a range of audience.
Excellent data management using ETL tools such as Alteryx, C++, Python and experience in sourcing, analyzing and structuring data in a variety of database environments.
Data visualization and reporting applications such as Tableau and Qlik, with experience in designing, implementing and automating a range of reports and dashboards.
Knowledge of Order to Cash SAP (OTCSAP), WMS (Warehouse Management System), TMS (Transportation Management System) is a plus.
Self-starter / entrepreneurial.

Responsibilities of this role include:
Daily financial support and business partnering to regional IT team:
Analysis, review and consolidation of monthly and quarterly results: preparation and review of budget versus actual analyses (for projects, departmental expenses and headcount)
Responsibility for the financial closing procedures (in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines) including monthly reporting to Corporate
Responsibility to challenge business assumptions, influence business decisions, quantify cost improvement initiatives

Educate business partners on financial issues and concepts, ranging from daily operations up to long term capital investments
Prepare and assist the business in the yearly Business Plan Process: preparation of templates, support detailed preparation, consolidation of input, challenge results, prepare reporting

A University degree in Accountancy/ Finance
2-5 years of relevant business experience is preferred;
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
The ability to work pro-actively, independently and in a team across geographic boundaries;
Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills;
