Within Dell`s Client Innovation Group (CIG)- business strategists serve on
cross-disciplinary teams that drive experience-based thinking into Dell`s
innovation pipeline and into the broader business. The business strategist
provides a continuous perspective on economic attractiveness that helps
inform- evaluate- and evolve early stage concepts.
At the level of a Business Strategy Consultant- you drive mission impact at
multiple scales and through multiple roles and mindsets.
You are the business strategy representative on a core team that owns
innovation in an area of interest for Dell|s client business. You are the
ultimate owner of the business strategy content contained throughout. You are
responsible for ensuring that programs and ensuing activities (e.g.

contextual research- concept evaluation- etc.) and milestone deliverable

(e.g.- research plans- concept portfolio plans- etc.) are created with

business strategy perspective in mind.

You are a driver of cross-discipline resources on programs and activities for
matters related to business strategy- its inputs and its evolution.

You are a workshop designer and lead facilitator. CIG relies on participatory
methods for engaging the broader stakeholder community.

You are an individual contributor to programs- team activities and business
strategy processes. You will bridge design- classic strategy and lean startup
thinking. You will synthesize secondary research and perform primary research
to better understand user and customer contexts and latent needs. You will
develop insights and define opportunity areas for exploration and concept
generation. You will run validation experiments and create financial models to
communicate and evaluate assumptions.

You are a practice builder- a transformational leader and a partner in driving
change. You will develop thought leadership and practice-enabling assets.

Your responsibilities will be:

Create experiential visions and enact organizational processes that drive change at scale.
Design and lead workshops with broader stakeholder community to design future experiences
Lead business strategy for new area of focus
Lead business assessment of new concepts and opportunities
Enhance innovation practice assets- tools and methodologies

Requirements:

Successful candidates will combine rigorous business acumen across many of the following areas- along with world-class depth in one or two: Product Management- Start-ups- Venture Capital- Marketing (Product or Brand)- Management Consulting- Corporate Strategy- Technology or Venture Incubation and Design-based Innovation.
We are specifically looking for people with a depth of experience in end-to-end product life cycles- business model design- market analysis- financial modeling- and implementation.
In your past life- you may have been an intra- or entrepreneur- product manager- or consultant – with experience bringing a scalable new offer to market.
We are looking for candidates with 12+ years of experience in relevant roles and with significant time in an agile environment.
MBA preferred. Hybrid educations (e.g.- fine art _and_ math- humanities _and_ engineering- social science _and_ business management- philosophy _and_ science- etc.) are highly valued.
